I'm in the process of buying a house, and was shocked this morning to receive an email from my realtor advising smart money habits and wealth building, and suggesting the book The Richest Man in Babylon - which I happen to have already read. He also recommends a few other books and podcasts, including Dave Ramsey.
Some highlights include:
- Pay yourself first
- Avoid Lifestyle Inflation
- Invest wisely and reinvest dividends
- Compound interest
Not the advice I expected to see from the guy whose commission depends on selling me the most expensive consumer good I've ever bought! I was impressed.
