Nords Podcast
« on: December 09, 2014, 09:41:47 AM »
FYI, Joshua over at Radical Personal Finance just posted a new podcast interview with Doug "Nords" Nordman available here:

http://radicalpersonalfinance.com/little-known-history-of-the-er-movement-interview-with-doug-nords-nordman-rpf0114/

I haven't had a chance to listen to it myself yet, but based on Joshua's past interviews (including a couple with arebelspy) I'm sure it will be great!

I've now listened to it and loved it.  I think the history of the early retirement movement is a fascinating topic.  I wonder what percentage of the population our community of early retirees and aspiring early retirees represents.

I burned through the first 90 or so episodes of this podcast during my commute over the last few months, trying to catch up to current podcasts, but the feed hasn't updated as of about a month ago.

Did the feed change? I've been using Podcast Addict on Android.

Remove it and add it again. It's definitely still going.

Hey Melchior,

Thanks for listening! I accidentally deleted all my subscribers a month or so ago and killed the old feed. It was a massive bummer.

Yes, we're still going! I just posted episode 118 yesterday.

On your android, the easiest thing will be simply delete the old feed and paste this one in: http://radicalpersonalfinance.libsyn.com/rss

Thanks!  Joshua makes it easy to just show up and talk.

I also owe a big mahalo nui loa to Ryan Guina of TheMilitaryWallet.com for giving me my first (and only) professional podcasting microphone-- an Audio-Technica AT2020 USB model.  We hung out together at the USAA blogger conference last month.

Ha! I was wondering whether you two were actually in the same room because it sounded a lot better than the other episodes.

Just listened to Nords' interview, and just downloaded about 20 hours of Joshua's other podcasts for my flight home this weekend.

When I started downloading them I thought they were 30 minutes a piece or so.  It wasn't after I finished I realized how many hours of listening I had on my hands.  I enjoyed a number of them, length and all.  In fact there are a few I need to listen to again to get the websites and information on some of your guests.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
