Not sure if I'm posting in the right spot but it is a blog post

My nephew just finished a complete kitchen reno for $1200 including a new window. They did it by following Mustachiansim principles even if they wouldn't call themselves MMM followers. His wife just did a blog post about it.

What I liked was how they got a window on craigs list. The only thing I would've done different is a ceramic instead of a steel sink

Thanks for posting that.  Their new kitchen is absolutely stunning!  I hope your nephew, his wife and their helpers are very proud of their work.

I am so pleased that it cost only $1200.00.  Can't imagine what it would have cost if they had paid to have it done.  Probably a fortune!

I was pretty blown away by the quality as well, it helps that his dad is contractor but I think the key was they were patient and waited till they found what they needed on craigs list. Most people would tend to buy new because of the hassle

My wife want's a soaker bath tub 72" in length.  I found one on CL and had to buy it sooner and not wait because it was a great deal.  It's now being stored until we are ready to install it.  Watching CL has become a hobby of mine.

Very nice result, I am most impressed with the cabinets and counter top. We have the same crappy Merrilat cabinets in our bathrooms and I've been dreaming up ways to replace the doors. Not sure I can do the whole paint booth thing, so I'll probably end up just making some new doors.
