Good one! Especially in the age of instant gratification.

What have people learned from experience? Finance lessons? Life lessons?

I'll start - I've learned that I tend to be really enthusiastic about new things and tend to jump in without looking, to my regret.  Now I make myself hold back and be cautious, to the point that some think I don't have a spontaneous bone in my body.
And I am not really the organized type (except in the lab or with math) so I have forced myself to develop routines (self-preservation so I know, for example, where my car keys are).  Others have told me how organized I am!  If only they knew!
