Man saves tens of thousands of dollars just by thinking

Amazing satire over at ERE.  Felt like it could have been on The Onion.

I saved over $20,000 today by not buying a new car.  Plan on saving another $20,000 tomorrow by not buying a new car, again.  I am closer to FI than I realized!

Hahaha. This is gold.

"Some people report having experimented with thinking in high school but how they stopped doing it because thinking made them unpopular with the other students."

"In fact, over the past year I’ve saved $35,000 I was previously spending on pool bills, the daily fireworks show, and disposable finger-extenders to switch the lights on.”

If having a daily fireworks show is wrong, I don't want to be right!

Right?

You wouldn't believe some of the stuff people outside Vegas apparently don't do.

Did you know I've heard they also somehow manage to light cigars without strippers holding burning 100 dollar bills?

Unfathomable.
