Good Neighbors/The Good Life
« on: September 30, 2014, 04:52:59 AM »
My hubby and I just started rewatching this series from the UK.  It's about a man who gets fed up with work, and decides to quit and start farming the gardens in his upper-middle class home.  Cute show, and there's lots of mustachian type things that are discussed.  However, they did not have sufficient retirement savings when he early retires, so that creates some problems for them.  The show can be found on YouTube, here's the link to the first episode.

Goodness, I watched this show when I was young.  I thought it was really funny then and quite charming.  You've brought back some pleasants memories.  Thanks for the post.

You should watch it again!  It's fun seeing it through new, mustachian eyes.  :D

oh the time when there were only 4 channels. This and To the Manor born- my father had great admiration for Penelope Keith. Still a PBS fan and of the BBC.

I love Penelope Keith!  She cracks me up!  Probably the best part of the show.  I find Tom...annoying.  Love Barbara and Jerry, though.
