Fidelity Survey mentions FIRE concept
« on: November 18, 2015, 07:33:01 AM »
Our 401k at work is through Fidelity, and they sent out a survey regarding what retirement resources we use/want to use, along with our opinions of the services they offer as part of the 401k.  The attachment shows one of the questions on the survey.

It's nice to see the concept of FIRE recognized by one of the big financial institutions in addition to traditional retirement in your 60s.  Maybe they'll start offering services tailored to people like us...

The cynic in me thinks it's so they can identify people who, although they may not have a lot of assets now, might be accumulating them faster than what Fidelity might expect. It's all about dat AUM.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.

But if you select traditional retirement, does it punch you in the face?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
