I have a growing accounting practice and have had trouble finding competent help in my area. Obviously trying to fill a part time role is tough as people with great skills aren't interested and I don't have time to teach someone with absolutely no experience how to do accounting.
This would be a great opportunity for an accountant looking to make some extra money on the side. At this point, I could provide a steady 20 hours of work each month.
If growth continues like it has the past few months, the position could evolve to full time by the beginning of 2017.
Job Duties:
-Maintain books for small businesses using QuickBooks Online and Xero (If not already, you would need to get certified in both softwares).
-Specifically, you would be coding transactions, adjusting GL to match payroll reports, reconciling bank and CC accounts, making adjusting journal entries, adjusting loan balances to match amortization schedules, etc.
-Some clients try to DIY and then we clean up at month end, others don't touch the accounting records at all and we provide an after the fact service.
-All work processes and document management is completely cloud based, so reliable internet access and a decent working laptop would be all that you would have to provide.
Requirements:
-Good knowledge of basic accounting principals with some GL experience under your belt (I'm not going to completely train you).
Pay:
-$20 -$40/hr depending on experience and efficiency. After working together for a while, I'm fine with paying you a set amount per client each month as you build speed (obviously this percentage would exceed your hourly rate).
