Need a changing table - in Washington, DC
« on: April 21, 2013, 06:13:03 PM »
The older child wanted to be helpful and stepped on the bottom shelf of our changing table that we use for our baby. The cheap thing snapped and I don't think it can be made safe. If you live in DC or immediate suburbs and want to get rid of a changing table, please let me know. I can take it off your hands.

Thanks.

Years ago my pediatrician told me the best changing table is the floor, because the baby can't roll or fall off the floor. I took his advice and saved myself from having to buy a changing table. Hope this helps. Enjoy your children. They grow up too fast.

It's needed more for storage of supplies and toys than as an actual changing surface.

Don't know if it's still relevant enough or useful enough to help but I'm in the area and have an old folding card table I hardly used and would happily let go of cheap. Not sure if that's what you want but if interested send me a pm.

Sorry. I don't have a changing table. Instead, we used a dresser and attached foam changing pad that had straps. The straps turned the stomach-high dresser into a changing table for us. Hope this idea helps if you can't find a true replacement.
