Looking for work in NYC

Hello, I'm looking for work in NYC as I have had a continual stream of unstable employment and it is making it very hard for me to work towards FIRE when I am having difficulties even making the bills. Yes, I realize I live in one of the hardest places to survive in the known universe, but I am determined to make it. I have construction experience, but it has been quite unstable hopping from project to project, but if I can find some full-time work in the industry I will keep at it or I will even change careers if I can get something better. Currently I am hoping for a job that is interviewing me coming up which is basically project management, but I need to network and try to line up some more if it does not go through. It has just been demoralizing working for wages that do not reflect my experience, do not have benefits and which are not steady full-time. I am someone who enjoys working and having pride in the work I do, but I am just at the end of my rope and fishing for leads as I need to have a contingency plan.

Can you do clerical work? I temped and it led to my last full time job.

I am sure I could do clerical work if I got into a position doing that. As the two jobs on the table as of current both are management roles with a fair amount of computer and paperwork to be done. I would be managing task from crafting safety guidelines, scheduling, material ordering, and many other tasks associated with running a construction site. So, I am currently aiming for higher than I have in the past by setting standards for the positions I am aiming at, but I am definitely open to other options if I find them.
