Looking for comic book collection
« on: October 11, 2017, 10:28:50 AM »
Hello everyone.  I'm looking for anyone that wants to get rid of their comic book collection.  I'm not looking for anything specific but older books from the 60's and 70's would be great.  I am trying this out to see if I can open a table at a show a local show in the future and see if I can make a few bucks.  I know it is a tough way to make a living and heard people advising not to do it but I just started collecting and fell in love with comics.  I am willing to try it a few shows before giving up.  So, if anyone have some comics sitting around or if you want to de-clutter please let me know and we can talk about prices.  Thanks again everyone.

I actually knew a couple people, but they have already liquidated their collection.

That's cool.  Just let me know if you run into anyone else needing to liquidate.

I have sold comics at shows before (helping a friend who sells comics and sportscards for fun....and it is fun selling at those shows) and understand why you would be interested in it.   I have a long box of silver age comics I will sell some day but one of the challenges of doing it across distances is the shipping weight of the comics is very significant.  Unless they are high end comics that can be a major consideration.  Looking for a local person looking to liquidate via Craigslist may be a reasonable avenue.

Very true.  Logistics become somewhat of an issue at times.  I not only want to sell some of what I pick up but want to start collecting minor silver age keys as well.  It’s something I hope will appreciate over time.  Do you happen to have a idea of what you have in the  box?   I believe fedex charges about $50 to ship.  I’ve been looking around on Craigslist for a while and there just seems to be so many scams and low quality modern books that people are asking a fortune for and not knowing that most modern books are worthless.  Feel free to call or text me if you are interested in selling.

Should qualify for media rate with ye ol fashioned USPS.

I've got a box of 90s tastic nonsense.  If interested tomdubz@gmail.com
