For Sale: REI Stoke 9 running pack, $15+shipping
« on: March 03, 2012, 10:16:21 AM »
My Maximum Mustache March challenge is to learn how to sell things online, so I thought I would start with a single item here, and then move on out into the wild.

For Sale: REI Stoke 9 running pack, like new, $20 $15+shipping

Since my work has a shower, I bought this pack to run to work and back several days a week while carrying a change of clothes and some lunch. It's also good for hiking, and it's made for integrating a hydration pack, though I've never tried it. I injured my foot while running, and I haven't used it in a couple of years. I'll stick to biking for now.

Full disclosure, this item is currently on clearance at REI for $30, with free shipping if you order more than $50 or if you ship to an REI store for pickup. If you have an REI credit card, you can get a 5% card reward, but there is no 10% dividend on this item because it is on sale. You can see the description here.

PM me if you're interested. Thanks!

I wish this had been posted a while ago. I had to buy a much crappier backpack for the same price. Good luck, I'm sure you will be able to sell it.

Hi Velocistar--Any chance you still have this pack for sale?  I'd be interested.  I also run to work occasionally and this would simplify the planning--wouldn't have to remember to bring clothes to work the day before.  Does it secure the load pretty good to keep the bouncing to a minimum?  That's my biggest pet peeve with running with a backpack or camelback on.  Thanks!

Yes, I still have it. I haven't gotten to the ebay part of my to-do list yet.

It bounces the least when it's full but not heavy, so it works very well for clothes by themselves. If you add a bit of lunch in the bottom, it will bounce a little more, but I never found it to be a problem. It's a small volume, and unless you put something really dense in there, it should be fine.

If you want to buy it, send me a personal message, and we can exchange address and Paypal info.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
