Electrician Needed
« on: January 19, 2015, 11:33:32 AM »
I am in need of an electrician in the Aurora, CO area. My breaker panel needs replacing. Is there a mustacian electrician who would like to put in a bid (I would love to work along side you and learn more about it) or could someone in the area recommend some electricians?

Thanks

I don't know if you have found one already, but I used Vintage Electrical (I'm a bit north of you- near Thortnton ish) - They were fairly priced, about equal with the lowest bid. However, a great contractor recommended them, and during the bid the guy who came out was the only one to actually open up my panels and asses what truly needed to be done.

I needed a panel upgrade for a 1950's house, and every single other bid just assumed they would have to run an aerial between the garage and the house because the wires from the garage (where the utility power comes in) to the house were underground and wouldn't be able to be upgraded. Vintage took off all of the access covers and discovered that the original owner was a fan of overkill when they built the garage (1960's) and the wires were more than sufficient for modern use. That alone made me go with them- and I've been very happy. They did all of the "major" electrical work, two new panels, and new circuits to the basement (It was cheap and I didn't want to deal with conduit) - I dont have an ugly aerial, and I have brand new large panels that I can put new circuits in!
