Freelance database/web/etc looking for work
« on: August 24, 2020, 08:58:33 AM »
I've just registered as self-employed here in France and after signing up for a freelance job site realised how much junk there is on those sites. So I thought I'd update my forum profile... and then thought why not post in here too, just in case?

So - I'm looking for IT-related work. My skillset is somewhat out of date just because it's what my main gig has been over the last while - I'm not good at self promotion so please take everything here as truth rather than inflated. I'm British!

Microsoft SQL Server - lots of experience writing sprocs, scripts, creating tables and whatnot. I started doing data entry, then moved to writing database stuff in dBase, then Visual Foxpro, then on to real SQL.

Classic ASP for server side stuff (this is the out of date bit!) - again lots of experience, mostly class-based stuff so more complex than your usual script page; some .Net both ASP and C#

Client side - I am not a designer but I can implement, tweak css; decent JS, jQuery. Strangely I rather like JS as a language.

I've mostly worked in the trade exhibition industry but that industry is pretty much dead for the time being - my main gig being in hibernation until things start up again.

Drop me a PM if you happen to know of something I can help with.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
