We have a grinder and a fruit press for loan for a weekend, in exchange for whatever you think is worth it.
This year there are tons of wild apples all over. Try turning some into cider. It's good fun.
I've found that the grinder does not grind very finely, so you don't get a lot of cider, but if you're starting with free apples, this isn't too much of a consideration.
