Anybody need house/plant/pet sitter July-September

Renovations on my new house have been delayed but my current lease runs out on June 30th and I can’t/don’t want to extend it (too much house and too expensive for me). DD (responsible/quiet 19 YO) and I need to line up places to stay over the summer. Does anybody need a house/pet/plant sitter in July/August/September? Preference for places that are within reasonable driving distance of Seattle, but depending on flight costs and my reno schedule I might be open to a few trips further away.

Re: pet duties, I am comfortable with cats, though don’t have experience with fancy medication schedules. Haven’t had much experience with dogs but should be able to handle ones that are reasonably well-behaved and leash trained.

I'm an enthusiastic gardener and have kept most of my own house plants alive over the years ;)

My house will be nice once it is fixed and I would be interested in future house swaps if anybody has an interest in visiting Seattle over the coming years.

This would be great, except we're across the country from you.  If you're into hiking, the most photographed part of the Appalachian Trail is only 30 minutes from my house.  We'll be needing a petsitter (2 large dogs that sleep on our bed) for the first two weeks of September. 

I applaud your creative effort for finding a place to stay.  Have you checked out other sites like TrustedHousesitters.com or something similar?

edited to add-- I live in a small college town where many undergrads leave their apartments for the summer (population of the town drops in half) but are still paying rent unless they find someone to sublease.  They're oftentimes offering 1/2 price just to have someone in the space.  I don't know what its like out there, but its possible you might a similar situation in the right place.

Probably can't travel that far at that time this year -- but I would potentially be interested another time!  My sister and I want to do a family history trip at some point and have lots of spots in Virginia/W. Virginia we want to visit -- at least one major one (Bluefield, WV -- my grandpa ran the YMCA there for many years and my dad graduated from Bluefield High) is not far from you.

I have started looking at sublets, but Seattle is a high demand city in the summer when our weather is nice so they tend to be $$$$.  Hoping to find place I can trade services for a place to sleep, and preferably with people who might be interested in future house swapping, since that is a great way to keep the cost of travel down (something I need to be mindful of over the next 4 years as I cross the bridge to 59.5).  Will check with Trusted Housesitters, though -- kicking myself a bit that I didn't manage to set up a profile/get some gigs before this.
