Hello everyone! I have successfully published a short story called 'The King of the Cats'
Based on an old English fairy tale, the story begins when the King of the Cats comes to a little town in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia. Socks and her brother Dusty have never seen the King, and consider him a great curiosity. While playing, Dusty inadvertently challenges the King and loses his eye. Swearing revenge, Socks separates herself from the colony and begins learning how to fight. When the King of the Cats returns a year later, she'll know how to pay him back for her brother's suffering. But knowing isn't the same as doing, and Socks will have to decide how far she is willing to go for revenge.
This short story is perfect for busy professionals who like to read, but don't have the time to devote to full length books.

I did not think for one second that I would be interested in such a story but, out of curiosity, I clicked the link and was captivated by your book. I will explore how I can download to my tablet. Best of luck with it. It reads like it would make an excellent CGI/real life movie. Ken

That's one of the nicest pieces of feedback anyone has given me on this story. Thank you! :3

More shameless self-promotion! I published another story. This one is about Annabelle Lee, who inherits a bookshop, a cranky ghost, and a visiting coven of witches. It includes references to Alfred Noyes, a cat, and a South Carolina swamp.

Aaaaaaaaaaand, more shameless self-promotion! I've created a website. It contains links to my story, photos of Big Sur, Charleston, and Peru, and more information about pirate metal music than you knew you wanted.
Any comments or suggestions to make it better are welcome. There is no reason I should not benefit from the wisdom/experience of the web designers on the forum. :)
