Just finished reading Go Wild by John Ratey and thought it was fantastic. Ratey is a Harvard Med School prof and writes on how to heal your mind/body by understanding our evolution as a species, whats in our dna, and what humans are meant to do. He breaks this down into sections like nutrition, exercise, mind, etc.
One of the biggest things I am taking from it is the need to exercise with lots of variety, specifically trail running. I exercise regularly but mostly in my basement with weights, riding my bike in town, etc. He goes into a lot of detail on why trail running with all of the variables it provides is more beneficial and feeds not only your body but also your mind.
