Apartment Complex Investing Books / References
« on: April 10, 2015, 03:15:58 PM »
Hello Community ~

I'd be interested in your suggestions on books that deal with investing in apartment building / buying commercial (residential) real estate.

I've been suggested to read the ABC's of RE Investing (McElroy), and the Apt. Buying / Selling Guide (Berges).

Any Mustachians that have experience in this realm please feel free to connect.

Thank You,

Todd

Books on this subject are pretty broad and the market has changed a lot. I would start with checking out biggerpockets and their podcast. They have a few that are just interviewing some top complex investors. It is timely and good information. Very informative. I found them to be more useful than most books, and I have read many. You could check out this one below. Its a good starting point and Craig Coppola is a total pro.

Yes. I think this site and biggerpockets combined are more useful than most books. Especially if you are looking for specifics. I did not mean to take away from this site at all with my biggerpockets recommendation. This site is great because many users weigh other types of investing and options against real estate and that is awesome.

Todd, if you mosey over to the Real Estate subforum there's a pretty good reading list curated by Arebelspy.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
