"Living The Good Life" by Helen and Scott Nearing
« on: April 08, 2020, 09:54:43 AM »
I recently read an article about Helen and Scott Nearing in Downeast Magazine.

This couple essentially inspired the "back to the land" movement in New England back in the 70s.  Inspired by the article I purchased the book "Living the Good Life: How to live sanely and simply in a troubled world" on eBay for $7 (and free shipping).  It's a fascinating read so far.

Anyone else familiar with this work?  I'd love to hear others' perspectives.  Thanks!

It's a good read, and motivating to explore garden and lifestyle options. There's a great magazine from the U.K., Permaculture, that explores urban and small scale gardening in more detail.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
