Does anyone have any frugal places to buy barefoot type shoes for a 1 year old girl?
Something along these lines, but without the hefty price tag. Don't care too much for style, but my search for barefoot shoes hasn't been fruitful.

I'm not clear quite what you're looking for, but if the toes aspect isn't important, you may want to search for "robeez" on ebay. They are lightweight leather shoes made for little ones that provide a bit of protection and anti-skid without being heavy, clunky, or hard to put on.
I kept my kid in rubber-footed "sleepers" at that age and don't think he wore shoes much, but I may misremember. Our first shoes were the robeez (which we really didn't use much, but lots of kids/parents love them) and a pair of little Crocs (the traditional style), which got a TON of wear. I've given away the robeez, but I still have the Crocs :) .

Those are not good for a kid learning to walk. Try stride rite, if your daughter is walking but when you can, let her go barefoot.

Depending on exactly what you want, try xeroshoes.com. I don't see anything that would be sized for an infant, but if you send them an email or call them they might be able to help. It's really just a rubber sole and some cord, so I don't see why doing it in baby sizes would be a problem.

My pediatrician always recommended to let them go barefoot as much as possible - if you need something then the Robeez because they are most similar to walking barefoot.

I find socks without shoes works just rather well.

In my humble opinion, your 1 year old treasure of a daughter is too young for any type of school, barefoot or otherwise!

We did robeez here too, or various other brands of the same thing. They go up to 24 months sizes, which even for my big foot kids was plenty big. I let them go barefoot or in socks many places, but the advantage of the robeez is that they stay on! So that was important in the cold winter.
