Alright folks, sounds like rescheduling is a good idea. Tim and I could host it next Sunday instead if that works for people. Thoughts? Feel free to email the list about it (I find that to be easier than posting here, but either is really fine).

I emailed, but I thought I'd post here as well since we're kind of planning in two places.  I just wanted to say that next Sunday works for me.  And that I'm planning to bring potato leek soup.  And maybe I'll make biscuits to go with it.  Soup needs biscuits!

I'll be out of town next Sunday. Ironically, we'd planned a trip months ago to go snow camping! We'll catch you all next time.

Would it be OK if we attended on such short notice?  We'd love to come & we'd bring a dessert (or something else if it's needed)  Thanks!

OK, thanks for checking.  If Sonia agrees, please let us know where it is by sending an email.  This is the first forum we've ever joined so we're not quite sure how it operates - maybe it would be helpful to give a short description so people won't fear some weirdos are trying to crash the party!  :)  We are in our forties, somewhat nerdy (an engineer & entomologist), married 24 years & using Quicken almost that long with the goal of early retirement.  We really like the philosophy and attitude of MMM and hope to find other like-minded people.

We really enjoyed this potluck and meeting everyone who came - it is so inspiring to hear about the roads other people take to financial independence.  We are not alone!  Thank you Will for inviting us and Sonia & Tim for hosting - we hope for another gathering soon!

It was absolutely a fantastic time.  The food, the atmosphere, and especially the people.  There was great conversation going on the whole evening, the saddest part was having to go home.  My wife and I look forward to hopefully seeing everyone again soon.

Bring Rebecca down to Corvallis when the weather turns nice and we'll give her a ride on Marci's thoroughbred..:).. Seriously you'd be welcome.

Your wife is really cute and sweet and funny, David.  I hope we get to see more of both of you and that I can talk with her more and be a good influence in the improving-her-English department.  (Because I don't think my Mandarin is going to improve! Sonia can work on that part.)  :)

Anyone live in Salem? I'd appreciate some help thinking through a FI scheme I'm developing, but don't want to post the whole shebang on the forum. Would rather have some conversation time with someone like-minded. Perhaps meet in Bush Park or somewhere like that?

As you wish. (I had to work a Princess Bride quote in to to keep the Monty Python company.) Sunday, March 30th, 3-5 at my place. Sound good or inconceivable!? :)

Who has the latest email list with everyone's contacts? What say I use that list to make a private google group so no one has to keep track of email list changes?

Hi! Will was kind enough to point out this thread to me. I'm living in NW portland and working out in Hillsboro (I suspect we might have worked at the same place, Frankh). I have a funky work schedule (no sundays for me) but it would certainly be a pleasure to meet some other mustachians! I'll keep following this thread :)

Hello Griffin,
I used to live in Vancouver and work in Hillsboro, now I live in Hillsboro and still work here, same place as Frankh used to work (probably a different location, so many out here).  Look forward to meeting more Mustachians.

Not to muddy the water, but Saturday 3/29 would also work for us to host. We'd have to shift the time to 3-6. Any day/time we choose will have conflicts for someone probably, but if it's just as easy for folks to do either day, it works for us too.

We'll be sorry to miss another Mustachian meet - the last one was so fun (& tasty, too)!  Alas, we are out of town for a few weeks beginning the last week of March...but we'll keep an eye out for the next one.

I work on Saturdays, but if that is what works for everyone else, that is fine.  It's not like I have to go to ALL of these things!  ;)

Yes, you do. We need pie. We need you there every time. ;)

I will indeed muddy the waters. Something just got added to my schedule, and now I have to change the time on Sunday anyway. So the two options so far are:

Saturday 3/29 3-6 pm
Sunday 3/30 3-6 pm

Either day is fine for the host, and so majority rules. Which day can most people make it to?

Sunday 3/30 3-6 pm

If you've never been to a Willamette Valley Mustachians get together, then I probably don't know your email. PM me your name and email address, and I'll add you to the group email with address and directions.

Hi all,

Marci and I will be travelling on vacation starting Sunday so we won't be able to make this one.. We are still open to hosting in April if that helps.

Have a great Spring Break if you get it off work and we'll try not to spend too much this coming week..:)

Alright, you all should have received one email from me and one invitation to join our new gGroup. If you did not receive these, please IM me and I'll remedy the omission. If you would like to be invited to the gGroup using a different email, please IM me with both your current and your preferred email.

I'd like to have at least two more gGroup managers so that no one person is responsible for administrating the group. The all powerful Google Group pop up feature wants us to know, "Only users with Google accounts can be managers."
