Vacation in Hawaii

Hi, I'm trying to play the credit card rewards game to get enough miles to take the Mrs. to Hawaii. The whole mustachian thing means I'm not willing to pay full price for accommodations once there. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking into hotel credit card rewards, but without doing manufuctered spending it would be hard to get more than a day or two. Anyone need a house sitter for a week anytime in late summer?

Look at Groupon and/or VRBO. Usually better than the major hotel chains and you can typically get a place that has a full kitchen.

I was in Hawaii last year and we stayed at Maui Kamaole at a very reasonable price (through Groupon).
