Yeah, let's plan for April 4th. I'd be up for making it a regular thing! Should we say 8pm on April 4th at Merlin's Rest? I'm open for a bit earlier than that too, if it works better.

Is it mustachian to drive 2 hours in order to be there?  :D

Probably not, but I might try and join in occasionally if something works out every month.

I want to come too! If this turns into a monthly thing I could get $1 Megabus tickets...

Does it turn into some sort of Super Mustachian meeting if a moderator comes?

I have a couch one of you could crash on if you do decide to make the trek in the future! And a spare bike!

April 4th at Merlin's Rest at 7 pm works for me! :)

Do we need some kind of secret handshake to recognize each other? haha

Have fun MN mustachians, wish I could make it but it is too far and I'm preggers so no drinks for me. Any east metro folks out there? We're in Lakeland.

Hey all,

Here's a reminder that we're planning to meet up tomorrow at 7pm at Merlin's Rest. I know it's supposed to snow all through the night and staying in might sound so cozy tomorrow after work, but be your most badass self and come hang out with us!

How will you spot me? I will, right now, commit to wearing a polka dot dress. Just look for polka dots. Hopefully it's not Merlin's Rest's Annual Polka-Dot Fest tomorrow night.

It was great to meet everyone at Merlin's Rest tonight!

Looking forward to more meetups.

I'm sorry that I didn't get everyone's name or who they are on this forum ... it was just too noisy.

So.. who are you again?  hehe  You can send a private message if you don't want your real name shown publicly.

Woo! So glad it worked out.  The wife and I had a great time.  It fun meeting mustachian people.

We'll have to do this again.  Locations and activities are up for discussion.  I know someone suggested going to the lakes or a park.  If we do that we could grill out or something.

Real Name: Peter, if you didn't catch it.

I'm up for a meetup in may.  If the consensus is a park meetup on a weekend (Sundays are preferable for me, but I can do Saturdays as well).  The weekends of May 3, May 17, and May 31 all work for me.

I can do the weekend of the 17th. I usually go stay out at my parents' house for Memorial Day, so the 31st might not work so well for me.

My real name is Lindsey. :)

A couple of other things that are on my frugal fun calendar for those days:

YMCA Garage Sale -- May 14-17, Merchandise Mart Building at the State Fairgrounds.  This is a huge rummage sale, on the last day they sell things by the grocery bag and by the shopping cart load.  I've gotten some good finds from there, after skimming through all the junque.

Twin Cities Makes Minne Faire http://www.tcmaker.org/blog/2014/04/minne-faire-v-approaches/  Free admission.  My husband is planning on exhibiting his Stella Amp kit (http://www.crazybutable.com/projects) and some other electronics projects.

That little guitar amp is sweet!  If I could play I would totally be interested in something small like that.  Do you know (or could you ask) if it would be compatible with headphones?  I know someone who might be interested.

My husband said it certainly could be output to headphones, but he hasn't had time to experiment and come up with a working headphone output circuit.  The amp is on the quieter side even with a speaker; he designed and tested it late at night while we were living in an apartment.  I should add that it will probably be into May or so before he has kits in stock again.

Schweet.

I'll have to check that Garage Sale.  Anything going on the day after my birthday has to be good mojo.  lol

That amp looks cool too.  I definitely have to check out the Minne Faire.

Cool! I might try to make it for the Roe Family Singers. I've heard good things about them. I'm going on a group bike ride in the afternoon so I'm not sure how it will work out, timing-wise.

Is everyone agreed upon May 17th for our next meet-up? Any ideas?

May 17th works for me.  Later in the afternoon would be better, 3ish or so.  but I can try to make it to whatever time works best for others.

I'm up for a park somewhere.  Do we want to try and grill/picnic sort of thing?  I'm not to familiar with the parks in Minneapolis, other than a vague idea of whats available around calhoun/harriet.

Cool! Depending on the timing I may be able to say hi as well. Any of the parks around the chain of lakes will be pretty busy on a weekend (if it is nice out), so not sure about counting on having a grill available unless someone shows up early to camp one out or has one to bring.

Awesome. So does 3pm work on the 17th for most everyone? A park sounds great to me. We could also just bring blankets, some snacks, and sit out by Lake of the Isles or something, if it's nice.

Aw, I'd love to do a park/picnic meetup, especially since it's kid and pregnant lady friendly - but the 17th is Art-a-Whirl in NE, SO many fun free activities!  And it's my neighborhood so I'm extra invested!

Aw man. Didn't realize that was Art-a-Whirl weekend, the 17th also happens to be the Linden Hills neighborhood garage sale where all the ritzy people have tons of new novels for sale for 50 cents. Should we choose a different day or weekend? Maybe a Friday evening so we don't conflict with all the summer events coming up?

Sorry, I haven't checked in in a while.

This Saturday is looking quite crowded for me.  I don't think I'd be able to make it.  If the meetup could be rescheduled, that'd be great -- if not, have fun everyone! :)
