Tri-Cities WA?
« on: October 15, 2014, 11:06:59 AM »
Hello! Is there anyone local to the Tri-Cities area? It would be great to meetup and get to know some like minded people! My husband and I are in our early 30's with two small kids. I am the MMM blog reader and CFO for engineering our FI while my husband is the main beer drinker :)

I'm not in the Tri-Cities area and don't travel into central WA but if your ever in the Spokane area we could probably set up something. Wife and I are early to mid thirties, no kids.  I should probably post a meet up for Spokane also.

My wife and I are in our early 30's and live in Kennewick. We have 3 children (soon to be 4). Finding some fellow mustachians sounds great. How old are you kids (ours - 5, 3, 2 - all girls)?

Another (recent transplant) to Tri-Cities, WA.

Married, early 40's with one child (3 y/o).

Active and with various experience(s) to bring to the table.

Please send a message, and let's connect.

Thank you,

Todd

We're nearby, in Spokane.
2Saving4Life, maybe we should get a Spokane group going.

nixjasr,

I posted a meet up back in November but no one responded.  We are interested in a meet up. You can read a description of who we are here:

Bumping thread.

@FrugalKube @Todd @jaboc84 @Amandalouise

DW and I are not party planners, but with a group this small (so far) any of the local parks would work.

I believe that there are ChooseFI local groups in the Spokane and Tri-Cities areas.  While not MMM specifically, I've found that there's a lot of overlap.  I belong to the Seattle group and we have many members of the MMM group join us on meetups.

I live in the Tri-Cities with my husband and our dog. We are in our mid and late 30s. I would love to meet up with people in the area and talk about challenges and ideas that would be relevant to our local area.

Dang, we missed the opportunity to meetup at Sausagefest.

I was trying to think of a place DW and I go on a schedule, but nope, we're FIREd and don't have a schedule.

I have never been to Sausage Fest. But, I chuckle at the signs every year because I have a juvenile sense of humor sometimes.

We don't go to anything on a schedule, except the upcoming Giant Book Sale at the Kennewick library which I very much recommend.

Bumping thread: I saw the Seattle meetup thread and it seemed like a good time was had.

@rainBOW2310 We're vaccinated, so I feel we are winding down the pandemic.

@FrugalKube, Staying safe so far.

@DeedlesSci Hopefully Sausagefest is on this year., you haven't lived until you've done the Chicken Dance :-)

@Todd Wow, your post is 6 years old, are you still here?

@jaboc84 @Amandalouise  We're still here, are you?

Well the children noted are 6 years older, so a regular place with pizza should work.

I suggest the patio at https://atomicalebrewpub.com/menu. If there is interest, I'll call to warn them..    6PM Thursday August 26?

Edit for a SWAG date and time.

Got a family event on Thursday.  I’m out. And no responses anyway.
DW suggested that we wait until after school starts.

Missed your bump @markbike528CBX

I also don't get on this forum too often lately. But, bump again if you want to try a meet up.

Any interest in a meet up in spring 2023?

Sure.  Time and place needed.  I’ve tried.

If you’re coming from colville, that seems a bit far.

It's not super close, but I have other things on my bucket list in the area, so might just lump this in with some hiking etc.
