I'll probably pass through either at the end of September or sometime in October.

(I can't imagine being Mustachian in SG unless you can buy an HDB. Housing is out of control!)

Being mustachian without a HDB flat is totally possible... housing isn't the only salient variable in the equation to building wealth.

You think housing is outrageous, wait till you find out about how much a car costs here!;)

Hey thanks for the welcome!

Oh and don't forget about  our "pesky" CPF on top of our housing "woes". I wonder if a good majority of Singaporeans are financially literate; our savings rate is pretty high compared with other OECD countries.

I've been hoping to organize a Singapore meetup, but have only had one or two replies so far. What's the critical number needed to try to organize a meetup? I also found there's a local ChooseFI group on facebook, but they've only met once IRL and I don't really tend to log into that platform very often. I hope to meet some local mustachians soon.

I'm still interested. I was trying to put together a WhatsApp group to make it easier to coordinate, but only one person ever replied to be added to the group. I guess perhaps the best thing to do is keep this thread alive. What's a nice frugal place to host a meetup?

Should we have a local introductions thread?
