Can anyone who's interested in attending a December meetup please fill-in this Doodle?

http://doodle.com/poll/bfzg8xk9x4b3cxcu

Once we have quorum on a date, we can discuss timing and location.

Thanks Seattle Carter for posting the poll.  Did you guys end up picking a date?  We had a death in the family near the holiday combined with a long trip out of town and I let the planning for this slip.  I can pull something together for January.

Let's shoot for January then. Only 6 people responded and there wasn't a unanimous date that worked anyway :)

Can I suggest that we try either Jan 4 or 5 at 6 or 6:30 at the central district Chucks? The location seemed convenient to many in previous meetups.

I could do either Jan. 4 or 5 at Chuck's CD!

I vote for the Wed (1/4). Thursday (1/5) doesn't work for me.

Those dates and that location might work for me. Location in particular, as I could bus/bike it rather than drive.

However, my brother and his family are supposed to be in town sometime around then (not sure of the dates yet) so I might miss because I'm spending it with out of town family.

Shall we lock it in for Jan 4 at 6pm at CD Chucks?

My schedule is trying to fill in around then so I'd personally like to settle on a time/date.

Also posted over to book-face for Jan 4 at 6pm.

Edit: some unplanned events have greatly curtailed my available free time the next couple of weeks and I won't be able to make it to this one. If someone could bring a piece of paper with an obvious mustache on it to make us easier to identify, that would be great. Enjoy and I hope to see you all at the next one!

I think all who participated agreed that the recent Seattle travel meetup extravaganza last weekend was a rousing good time.

In the interest of keeping that momentum going, I suggest getting another Seattle meetup on the books. How about Tuesday March 14th at 6pm? Chucks in the CD seems to work pretty well.

I'll probably be there.  CD is way better than north.  I can't stand having to get onto I-5 from the eastside, I-90.

For Jon Snow and other out of towners:  I am looking into Tukwila International Blvd parking area for the light rail - near SeaTac.  I haven't found the prices yet, but it has to be less than the $45/day Jon paid during our meetup.  The light rail pass would be about $2.75 ea way.  Don't decide to break a $20 at the ticket machine unless you want to do like me and listen to 17 $1 coins drop into the change area.  I already showed that the Green Tortoise Hostel has private rooms for around $70/night.  So, the cost of a night in Seattle for a meetup drops drastically with some hacking.

EDIT:  Looks like parking at the Tukwila International Blvd parking area (600 spaces) is free.  You are welcome.

Great! Welcome to the PNW! Details are still the same for 6pm on 3/14 at Chuck's Hop Shop (delicious beer in the Central District neighborhood).

With the big group do you suppose Chuck's will reserve a table for us?   the last time we had a smaller group and we still had to fight for a table (as a single person to leave so we have a spot).

You'd have to come back on the 15th for Wicked Pies.

So irrational! I was wondering when someone would get around to that joke. But seriously, Chuck's does not serve pi(e), but will let you bring your own. In that vein, I hope you (or someone, anyone really) bring this:

Just a reminder that this is tonight at 6pm at Chucks Hop Shop in the Central District. We usually end up hanging out for a couple of hours, so I would anticipate things winding down between 8 and 9. May go longer (or not). No real set schedule.

Hi everyone,

I’m Brandon. I live in Moses Lake.

Just joined MMM forums after being away from the site for a few years and looking forward to connecting with people in the state.

Quick rundown:

  • I Quit my consulting work about 3 years ago and moved in with family to cut my overhead down while working on becoming truly FI.

I've got a small business in costume fabrication that creates some passive income on top of doing commission work.

I've written some book summaries that generates some passive income.

I just re-read YMOYL and realized I was still putting the cart before the horse. So I'm re-assessing everything at the moment.

I look forward to the next meetup. But until then I'd love to connect with some of you and hear what you're up to. Feel free to email me if you want to connect. :)

If we're looking to meet somewhere West of the Cascades, 5/7/16 works even better for me as I'll already be on that side of the mountains for the weekend.

WeaponX, all of our meetups thus far have been in various locations in Seattle. Feel free to check interest for other locations too, but I have a feeling most folks following this thread will be interested in Seattle. The Washington Mustachians Facebook group might be a better place to check interest for locations east of the Cascades, or starting another forum thread.

4/30 or 5/7 would both work for me.

I forgot this was the 'Seattle' thread and was just thinking Pacific Northwest for some reason.

Even though I don't live in the Seattle area, I do enjoy visiting there. So completely disregard my last post about where the Meetup would be. :)

Anyone up for a weeknight meeting?

I'll be in Seattle for a bit starting next week, but have weekends booked (darn all those friends who have, like, jobs on the weekdays!).  Something on May 1-4 (Mon - Thurs), perhaps?

We'll be just north of the city (Lynnwood area), but can get anywhere in a reasonable distance.
