So since we were talking about Thai curry pastes, the one I use is Mae Ploy in a 400g tub. I can't remember how much I usually pay for it but around $3-ish in Asian grocery stores in Australia. Apparently you can find the brand in Coles and Woolies too, but what I see in their website is only the 50g packet and it costs around $1.20. I've only tried the green curry but I'm a big fan. Just a word of caution that it's quite spicy, I think the red and yellow curries might be milder.
The ingredients in it are: green chilli, lemongrass, garlic, salt, galangal, shrimp paste (shrimp, salt), kaffir lime peel, coriander seed, pepper, cumin, turmeric.
