Hi folks! Our meetup in fall was a ton of fun - we hung out for the better part of 3 or 4 hours and had a few beverages of choice while meeting awesome like-minded people in our awesome city.

There have been rumblings in our old threads about a meetup from some new mustachians, new New Yorkers, or both. So it's probably a good idea to get the ball rolling. These things always take time to coordinate, so I'm thinking we try to organize a March one.

Reply here and let's hammer out some details. You can use my format (below) if you want! After we've reached something approaching a consensus, we can finalize specifics.

My preferences:

Borough: Manhattan (we did queens last time, seems unfair to bklyn / manhattan people to do it again). I don't have a bar or restaurant in mind, if someone wants to suggest one.
Weekend / day / time: Saturday March 8th or March 15th. Early afternoon so that it doesn't take up Saturday night but can still go a few hours.
Beer / alcohol: Yes
Food: Yes

Mid-march is probably too early for outdoors, but I have a rooftop which could allow the numbers we had last time.

Then we could potluck and bring costs down. Outdoors in a park would allow that too except for the alcohol.

I live on the UWS, but I'm down for a March/April meetup anywhere in Manhattan.

I've been devouring the website since Nov, and I'm curious to see how others in Manhattan apply the MMM principles.

Hi Everyone!

This get together on either the 8th or the 15th sounds great, and I would be happy to volunteer my apartment. I live in a decently sized non-mustachian apartment in Long Island City that works great for a group . The apartment is one stop away from Grand Central, so pretty convenient from most places in Manhattan. We have a small dog so if people have allergies this won't work.

ioseftavi, you specifically didn't want to meet in Queens so feel free to veto this plan :-).

We should probably make a firm decision on date since March is coming up fast. I see two people preferring 15th over 8th, and nobody the other way around so I suggest we set the 15th as the date.

There was a suggestion for "early afternoon" in the original posting. How about 3pm?

Hi All,

Yes, my offer still stands and 3pm on the 15th sounds great. One wrinkle though is that the 7 train is not running the weekend of the 15th so people will have to take the E or M to Court Square. It's still roughly a 10 minute walk and one stop from Manhattan.

The address is 4545 Center Boulevard in LIC and I'll send a private message to everyone on this thread with the apt number and my phone number. Brink a snack or drink to share and we should be all set!

Okay, I am truly terrified of Queens street system even when the subways are running normally, but I am on my way in a bit.

I missed the instruction of "snacks" so I made hamburger helper. So the non-vegetarians shouldn't fill up on deviled eggs before I get there, please.
