Also, you all are giving me major FOMO, and my current booking only crosses @Exflyboy for one evening, so that just won't do.

I will need to either commit to cancelling fully (but I have to call in and I have been lazy) or call to change the reservation...(see the lazy part) Decisions decisions!

I put in for Friday the 3rd and Monday the 6th off so I'll have the entire weekend.

Really looking forward to hiking and getting outside some. I love Moab. I'm thinking I'll go to Needles District a bunch since that is my fave.

Will be cool to meet some new people doing this FIRE thing. I'll swing by the group campsite/place where everyone hangs out.

I'll probably just car camp somewhere though.

I'm thinking I might rent a dirt bike and go all out and spend a little of this money I'm saving.

*Okay, the NPS has rules like timed entries and permit requirements, but we're pretty good at working together to keep them manageable.

Hello everyone! I would like to attend Moab this year and am coming from the bay area. Question: for those who are flying in, what is your plan to get to the campsite and back to the airport? Are most people renting a car or are there better options? And if renting, is anyone open to carpooling (splitting the cost)? I am very flexible on days/times. Thanks in advance!

I'm coming in from Santa Barbara. Haven't booked flight yet, most likely into SLC because it's direct vs Grand junction. I'm def going to rent a car and I'm open to carpooling.

I don't remember my dates... But roughly first Friday to second Saturday...

It did occur to me after I was begging for a ride from Green River train station last year that maybe a few folks might need rides in order to void the cost of renting a car.

If So I will be driving down through SLC on the Friday with 3 empty spots and would be happy to swing by the airport, train stations, popular vagabond stops etc.

I will be staying for the after party too.. If anybody wants to partake of the "exflyboy Uber" I would be happy to oblige.
