Yes!  0 for 3.  I'd be screwed in baseball.  :(  Anyone else interested in (and available for) an 8/9 meet up in Griffith Park?  You know you are.

Quite possibly!  I just moved to Culver City a few days ago, so would be great to meet some local mustachians.

Cool man.  I'm down to hang with you on the 9th even if nobody else shows up.  If it's just you and me, perhaps we should meet somewhere a little more central to both of us.  We can re-schedule the Griffith Park outing for a week or two later so the three interested parties above can attend as well.

Any other takers for the 9th?

How about you 3 that can't make the 9th?  Does the 26th work for you guys?  Or if not, state your availability in August and perhaps we can make something work.

Hmm.  It looks like I was looking at the July calendar when I said the 26th.  I was shooting for the 4th Saturday of August, which would be the 23rd (not the 26th).  That's still some time off, so I'll message some of the people above who expressed interest in a meetup, and perhaps we can get a sizeable group together.

So Saturday, August 23rd, at Griffith Park.

(Let's also scratch the August 9th meetup.  Turns out some friends of mine are leaving town for good and their going away party is that day. :(  How sad.)

I think the 23rd is fine.  Our August suddenly filled up crazy fast, and I have some serious work to do for my side business.  I'll see how much I can get done on my 1/2-day Fridays in August before I can commit for sure.  I forgot how the end of summer gets crazy like this for my business!

Hey guys.  I'm sorry to do this, but I'm going to have to back out on the 23rd.  I just found out my mom is celebrating her birthday on that day.  Her birthday isn't actually that weekend (it's in a couple days), but all the other weekends in August are busy for her.... So I'm going to have to back out. :(

I can still organize something for the 24th if people can make that instead.  Let me know if there is interest for that - or someone feel free to organize the 23rd as well.  Let me know!

Hello!

Is anyone here in LA still actively meeting? I'm just starting out myself, but I would love to meet some like minded people. I'm in the San Gabriel Valley, but if no one is near I don't mind driving at all!

Hi y'all,

FYI. The OC group is meeting up at Chantry Flats this Sunday 1/18 @ 12p for hiking. Chantry is actually in San Gabriel Valley, but we are bringing peeps from SFV. Found common grounds. :)

So I wanted you all to know about it too. We will be meeting up at the One West Bank on Foothill/Santa Anita at the One West Bank Parking lot (Santa Anita exit off the 210, go N, the bank is on the corner of Santa Anita and foothill)

Bank: http://bit.ly/1BZ44nq
Chantry Flats: http://www.yelp.com/biz/chantry-flat-recreation-area-sierra-madre

We will then carpool or follow each other up, depending on size of group.

Hope to see you there!

-Chippewa

PS: chantry has lunch & drinks/beer, if interested.

Posting to follow since I'm in SGV too. But, let's be honest. With 3 kids ages 6/3/0 and working 1/2 time, I'm not likely to make it to a meetup anytime soon.

After a bit of a hiatus, I am back and ready to meet up! Is anyone available to meet in the afternoon of September 26th? It's almost a month out, but this is my first free weekend. Let's set a time of September 26th at 3 PM. I haven't picked out a place yet, but it'll be a coffee shop with ample free parking. Please respond, I'll be checking!!

I'm in Burbank! I can host a side yard BBQ/potluck, BYOB. Shall we say Sat, Oct. 24th?

I am in west L.A. I have some ideas about meal-planning and frugal lifestyling and I would be interested in comparing notes and ideas.  I am here because I could find nothing on meetup or craigslist (yikes).

Hey Seathink, I'm probably within 5 miles of you in North Hollywood.  You up for hanging out one of these days?  It would be fun chatting with another mustachian.  Anyone else reading this is free to join as well.

Sure.  That's a nice and easy 3-mile bike ride down the bike path for me.  Didn't realize the Portos was that close off of the path there.  I'm assuming this weekend is not ideal.  What about the weekend of Nov 7, 8?

It looks like there are 4 definites (me, seathink, Dorothy, crazy) and 2 possibles (spondulix and Patrick).  So potentially 6 total at this point in time.  There's also a park down the street a 1/3 mile from there, so we could always saunter down there and hang out if it's too busy.
