Alright, this is happening!! A bit more rushed than I'd like, but hell, let's do it. This one is going to be awesome. I'm all about making a day of it, as I'll have the smoker out, and it will be at the house. Dogs, cats, and chickens will be present. Please let me know if you're allergic. I want to make a potluck out of it, and I'll provide some of the meat. I suspect most of the time will be spent chilling on the deck, but there are parks nearby, and I have some ideas, but I'm good with playing it by ear. More details will be forthcoming, as the only way I was able to convince the better half to allow this involved letting her proofread the details before I posted them, but it's going to be fun, and it's going to be chill.

A good chunk of you who've joined the last ones that I've done have my contact info, so feel free to just text me or whatever. I'll have a running tally of people/equipment in this post below, so RSVP if you're coming, please. Otherwise, the lack of plates may become an issue. :D

I'm thinking we'll probably start around 2, and continue until everyone gets bored. I'll probably take the meat off the smoker around 4 or 5.

So I just realized that the fact this coming weekend is a holiday, there are going to be some pretty sweet sales on stuff. To that end, I'll update the first post to include what people are going to bring a far as food stuff goes. I will have a gas grill available if folks want to bring stuff that's not cooked.

Okay. The better half found some mismarked pork shoulders, so I will most definitely be doing a shoulder for some pulled pork. It's similar to the stuff I brought to the first meetup. We don't do bread very often, and I very rarely do BBQ sauce. So if you want to make a pulled pork sandwich, bring some of that. Also, if someone brings some sourdough, pickles, and ham, this particular meat is delicious on Cubanos. I may do a rack of ribs as well, but we'll see how the turnout is.

Okay, a touch of logistics. I was initially thinking about setting up a meeting place and a time to meet, and then escort folks to the house, just since this particular part of the site is indexed by Google.
