I think its common knowledge that there are a few folks from CO on here.  The author for one:) and Brave New Life.  Anyone else out there from CO

I've heard from quite a few of us in emails, although it's a good question, how many of us are in the forum (less than 1% of regular visitors are signed up as forum posters). In fact, I have the privilege of going to lunch with a Longmont-based Mustachian only one hour from now!

Plus I had a meeting with another one last night about the new business he is starting.

Just like I said in today's article, the movement is everywhere :-)

I'm a former Coloradoan who moved away 5 years ago, but will be moving back later this year. I think all the cool (and often free) outdoorsy stuff, reasonable cost of living and typically well educated population combine to make Colorado a good breeding ground for Mustachians. Plus, the ever present sunshine is bound to put people in a great mood, and people are more likely to make better decisions when they're thinking big, positive thoughts :)

We're moving from South Jersey to Colorado in 6 weeks. :) I love hearing the particulars about CO life from MMM and in the comments of the blog. It assures me that the life I'm used to here is also doable there.  ;)

I'm pretty new to the area and don't have a car, so I don't get around too often. I know I'm only about 5-10 minutes from Cherry Creek Mall. I know I'm pretty close to the intersection of I-25 and 225.

I expect to be in Boulder the first week in November (11/4 - 11/7) and would like to meet fellow Mustachians. I don't know the area but I have a GPS so I could probably find an address. I'll be staying at the Millenium Harvest House (at my employer's expense), so the bar/restaurant there might be a reasonable place to get together. Let me know what you think.

Hi Y'all, I'm looking to move from Genesee / Golden area towards my new office off I25 & Colorado.

Just putting feelers out there, I'm looking for a place to rent come April/May. I need a house with a yard and a garage that's within a 10 mile radius of that intersection, though I much prefer to be North, South, or West. East is bad mkay?

I'm ok with living in the ghetto, but I need a yard for my 40 lb mixed breed doge and I need a garage for my race car. I'm a 32 male with impeccable rental history and references for the past 7 years (before that I was at my parents and my mom will talk your ear off so best not to call them).

If you have any leads please let me know! I'm willing to stretch outside the 10 mile radius if it's to the west.

Looking for Mustachian roommates near downtown!

My name is David. I'm 26 and I've been a reader of MMM for some time now and finally purchased my first little patch of real-estate just outside of Denver, CO in Edgewater. I'm looking for some people on the other end, on the renting end, who feel they would benefit from living with a Mustachian, taking advantage of our own little community, while respecting my house for what it is - a investment in my eventual retirement. In exchange, I'd offer a reasonably priced room ($500/month), within 5 miles of Union Station, in Denver CO, for a working professional who wants to save money to one day buy their own real estate and pursue their freedom. One thing I've learned from MMM is that our shared knowledge and teamwork gets us further than working alone. I'd like to have a few people who want to join my team, save their money, and gain some new friends and partners along the way.

Here's a link to the Craigslist ad. I have 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms (and 2 kitchens!) and am currently showing it. I haven't found anyone who strikes me as truly Mustachian-minded, so I'm definitely holding it for the right person/people.

http://denver.craigslist.org/apa/4278215226.html

Thanks for reading!

David

This is a ways off, but I will be in Denver for a conference 9/25 - 9/28.  I would have time on Saturday 9/27 for a meetup.  I won't have a car but would happily use public transportation.  (I also need to go to the main branch of the Denver Public Library that day, so as long as I can fit that in as well as an MMM meetup, I'll be happy.)

(I live in the southwestern part of the state; I'm not often in the Denver area.)

I will be in the Buckley Air Force Base area from Oct 2-7 and looking to browse the local area to see what cities could potential suit me when I achieve financial independence. I have heard through the grapevine that Longmont could potentially be something worth while to check out. If anyone is available to show me around, a free lunch could be headed your way.

Edit: My apologies, I will also have a rental car and will be driving to the various locations.

Shouldn't be an issue. I have 3 seats and depending on if I get my sentra running or not, there might even be leg room. I'll let you know for sure by Thursday. I know there are a few people south of me, so I'm waiting to hear from them, just for efficiency's sake.

First time posting...wanted to say thank you to MMM and family for hosting such a BADASS event on Saturday.  My husband, Tim, and I met lots of Mustachians.  Each super-friendly and living wonderfully-interesting lives.   Learned about some new websites and connected with others for whom consumption may not be the Holy Grail.

I'd be happy to plan a Denver-area event if there are any takers!

Hey folks, my wife and I will be in Colorado 4/18 - 4/29. We are looking for a new town to call home. Anyone mind showing us around? We'll be starting in Fort Collins and working our way to Denver checking out all towns in between. Also, we are debating whether to bring our mountain bikes or road bikes; we really want to ride a lot between towns, but those mountain trails are calling me. We are mid 20s and our biggest interests are biking, hiking, and beer.

This is the downside of my three-day-a-week weekend shift job: I'm always working when the cool people are doing cool stuff!

Hey everyone!

Not sure if many people will see this announcement at the end of an old thread, so let me know if there is anywhere else I should post it (I did Facebook and Twitter already, but didn't want to use the main blog for a locals-only thing like this).

Some of us are heading to Eben G Fine Park at 4PM - here are the details!

Speaking for myself, this particular venue works. Unfortunately, I'm nursing a broken jaw, and just saw it (due to aforementioned broken-ness), but I do get notified of posts in here. Thanks Pete!! Maybe next time.

I'm in Denver - basically downtown.  Not sure if this group is actively meeting up, but I would be up for it.

Hi, we are pretty new to this, and would enjoy a meetup. If it were spring I might suggest a bbq,  and could revive the thread then to do that. A hike in the foothills is another possibility, which we are happy to do in this weather too. How about the rest of you?

What part of Colorado are you in?

Thank you for your response, jorndanread, I was answering post #99 just above, where Denver area was being discussed. We are in the West Denver area.

Gotcha. I usually organize the ones a bit more South (Colorado Springs), and this thread send to be a general Colorado one, where you then get pointed to the appropriate thread. The are a few for your neck of the woods iirc, but I'm not sure where they are. Someone else should jump in soon though.

I live in Denver and would also be interested in a meetup! And I enjoy a hike as long as it's not too chilly out.

Eastern Denver here. The next ~month is a particularly busy one for me, but I'd be game for a meetup in February if people are willing.

It sounds like several people are interested in getting together.  How about a group hike, say the first Saturday in February (weather pending)?  We could meet up at Matthew Winters Park, which might be a reasonable winter option that won’t require snowshoes.  Feel free to make other suggestions, just wanted to get the ball rolling. :)

Sounds fun (assuming it isn't -23413 degrees out & snowy)! I don't think I have been hiking there before.

Thanks for taking the initiative.  That works for us.

Definitely interested in meeting other Mustachians! I'm in Pueblo. A hike, or bbq sounds great!

We are in West Denver area, would love to meet up with others, possibly mustachians with children too. The hike sounds great except I work that day. I'd love to hear of other meets ups happening in the area.

I don't work this day but can't make it due to plans I'd made before reading this. Then again, the way work has been lately I may not be able to make one of these for a while. I'll still listen in and see if I can make any future event.

Hey all,
How about a doodle poll to figure a date.  Looks like a lot more people are saying they cannot make it on the proposed day than can...

Hey guys,

Weather looks decent for next Saturday (Feb 4th).  My husband and I are still planning on heading to Matthews/Winters Park for a hike.  It looks like several people have conflicts that day, but if anyone is still interested in getting together, send me a PM and we can coordinate a meetup!

More info:

We should definitely try to set up something else for those that aren’t able to make it on Saturday! :)

My husband and I are heading to the Denver area tomorrow through March 20th and were wondering if there was anyone who would want to get together.  We would love to meet some like-minded people if we can make schedules work.  We are staying off of I70 to ski for a few days and then Fort Collins for the second half of the trip.  Let me know if anyone wants to meet up.

Mr1500, we could probably meet up on Monday when we head back to Denver for our flight out.  Our flight is at 1:15 am so we have time to kill in the evening before heading to the airport.  Are you free?

I'm looking for a venue for a Camp Mustache Colorado event.

Does anyone know of a place with lodging (beds) that provides food as well?

Typically summer camps/church camps are good venues for this type of event.

PM me if you have any suggestions for venues!
