Looking for Mustachian roommates near downtown!

My name is David. I'm 26 and I've been a reader of MMM for some time now and finally purchased my first little patch of real-estate just outside of Denver, CO in Edgewater. I'm looking for some people on the other end, on the renting end, who feel they would benefit from living with a Mustachian, taking advantage of our own little community, while respecting my house for what it is - a investment in my eventual retirement. In exchange, I'd offer a reasonably priced room ($500/month), within 5 miles of Union Station, in Denver CO, for a working professional who wants to save money to one day buy their own real estate and pursue their freedom. One thing I've learned from MMM is that our shared knowledge and teamwork gets us further than working alone. I'd like to have a few people who want to join my team, save their money, and gain some new friends and partners along the way.

Here's a link to the Craigslist ad. I have 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms (and 2 kitchens!) and am currently showing it. I haven't found anyone who strikes me as truly Mustachian-minded, so I'm definitely holding it for the right person/people.

http://denver.craigslist.org/apa/4278215226.html

Thanks for reading!

David

Hey!

We're mustachians that live in Aurora (225/Colfax)-- would love to meet up with any like-minded people if anyone is interested :)

This is a ways off, but I will be in Denver for a conference 9/25 - 9/28.  I would have time on Saturday 9/27 for a meetup.  I won't have a car but would happily use public transportation.  (I also need to go to the main branch of the Denver Public Library that day, so as long as I can fit that in as well as an MMM meetup, I'll be happy.)

(I live in the southwestern part of the state; I'm not often in the Denver area.)

We are working our way towards Mustachianism and are in Fort Collins.  Could possible drive down to Denver for a meetup depending on day/time.

I will be in the Buckley Air Force Base area from Oct 2-7 and looking to browse the local area to see what cities could potential suit me when I achieve financial independence. I have heard through the grapevine that Longmont could potentially be something worth while to check out. If anyone is available to show me around, a free lunch could be headed your way.

Edit: My apologies, I will also have a rental car and will be driving to the various locations.

Might as well bump this as far as the longmont meetup that mmm just posed. I'm coming from Colorado Springs. If anybody wants to carpool, let me know and I'll see what I can come up with. Don't forget you have to register to RSVP.

Shouldn't be an issue. I have 3 seats and depending on if I get my sentra running or not, there might even be leg room. I'll let you know for sure by Thursday. I know there are a few people south of me, so I'm waiting to hear from them, just for efficiency's sake.

I snagged one of the last tickets today - very happy to be going. I will be driving over from the Fort Collins/Loveland area if anyone wants to carpool.

First time posting...wanted to say thank you to MMM and family for hosting such a BADASS event on Saturday.  My husband, Tim, and I met lots of Mustachians.  Each super-friendly and living wonderfully-interesting lives.   Learned about some new websites and connected with others for whom consumption may not be the Holy Grail.

I'd be happy to plan a Denver-area event if there are any takers!

I can't believe that I missed a meet up at the mustachian household! Obviously, my plan of reading all the posts from the beginning isn't working in my favor. I'm in Boulder, and would prefer not to drive all the way to Denver if there are folks closer by. Let me know if you might be interested in a potluck.

Hmm...I might be tempted.  I live in Durango, but I will be in Lakewood for a doctor's appointment on the 26th.  Perhaps I should stay up in that part of the state until the 29th?

My non-mustachian little sister is in Pueblo, and I usually try to make it down there for the Chile and Frijoles festival. It's not out of the picture, but I live a touch more north than that.

Ooh--can you tell me more about Golden?  I will probably be staying the night in that area (Golden or Lakewood).  I would be interested in good coffee shops and vegetarian restaurants, if you know of any there.  Thanks!

Is anyone in Littleton/south of Denver? I'm new to this area and am looking for friends with similar interests and priorities.

I'm a mid-20s guy - an engineer who likes hiking, cooking, board games, beer, music... pretty much all the typical stuff in this community. PM if you're in the area and want to meet up some time.

All right ya'll, I am semi-retired effective August 10 and so I am throwing out there a possible meetup on August 10 or August 11 at Baker Street Pub in Boulder due to the awesome 2PM-9PM Happy Hour Specials.  If you're interested, please reply.

That's my FI/RE date too!  Would love to join happy hour LiquidSapphire.  Congrats!

Hey folks, my wife and I will be in Colorado 4/18 - 4/29. We are looking for a new town to call home. Anyone mind showing us around? We'll be starting in Fort Collins and working our way to Denver checking out all towns in between. Also, we are debating whether to bring our mountain bikes or road bikes; we really want to ride a lot between towns, but those mountain trails are calling me. We are mid 20s and our biggest interests are biking, hiking, and beer.

Glad you are planning to move to Colorado, rhut, but the best part of the state is over here in the southwest corner!!  We have tons of biking, hiking, and beer, without the traffic and smog of the Denver metro area!!

Rhut, NinetyFour is right, but the best of all worlds is Colorado Springs...:P If you make it that far south, feel free to hit me up. I will be back in town as of 4/22. Be more than happy to show you around. Just ask Wolf_Stache.

Hey everyone!

Not sure if many people will see this announcement at the end of an old thread, so let me know if there is anywhere else I should post it (I did Facebook and Twitter already, but didn't want to use the main blog for a locals-only thing like this).

Some of us are heading to Eben G Fine Park at 4PM - here are the details!

hope to see you there!
