Chicago Group?
« on: May 17, 2022, 06:21:00 PM »
Hi,

It's been a while since the Chicago groups had a post, so I'm just creating a new one.
There was also a meetup group (https://www.meetup.com/Chicago-Financial-Independence-Meetup/) but its been deleted.
Any mustachians in the city looking to meet some like minded people?

What's up spaniard? My wife and I just moved to Chicago in mid-March. You might have more luck with the local ChooseFI facebook group

Thanks for the ChooseFI recommendation, I'd never heard of them before. Pretty big FB group.

I'm living in Lakeview now; been here since last September. I never knew it before moving here but what a good place to go for FIRE. Cheap rent, no car, and all but the highest-end jobs. Underrated.

I'm in Ravenswood, very close by. 100% agree - amazingly good place to live with no reputation for it.
