I cannot multitask.

40 bunks (total) have been sold to the forum. 20 are still available and will be offered to Pete to mention on the blog/twitter. I am told that this creates a whole 'nother set of applications for attendees.

If you thought you had applied for a bunk, but did not get an email reply from me, please retry. at the revised email addy in post 1 of the thread (as eloquently explained by my friend Cherry Lane).

I could be a co-presenter on Mustachian Food...  you know, if I were to get a spot tonight.  You know you want to sell me a ticket, dontcha?

I could cover batch cooking for the freezer, soups, weaning off a high food budget, growing your own sprouts.  Come on - I'm desperate here!

Ooo...I like your topic idea! My food budget isn't bad - but I would love to drop it lower!

I missed all the fun here tonight as I was out grocery shopping. (speaking of high grocery bills - I dropped $200 in just one night *sigh*)

What a rush to come home to a slew of emails asking about how to pay. So happy so many of our American friends are coming to CMC!

The very FIRST Camp Mustache in Canada and we are 2/3 sold out almost NINE months before the event. How amazing is that?! Thanks so much for putting this on Prospector. It took guts, vision, and a ton of time and effort on minute details. You rock!

This is a good idea - It has some overlap with The Goblin chief. I'm going to keep it in mind.

Tell me about it, Sailor Sam!  I have one sister, two brothers.  It's bad enough when mom stutters part of each of their names before she gets to mine.  But sometimes the family dog gets in there too!

I get them reversed on posts here too. Sometimes I have to stop and think about whether its ascending or descending order on the sort.

J1 = big, but 1 is a smaller number. Obviously this makes no sense, J2 should be the big one.

Just to be clear on payment for our new recruits.

  • If your country is governed by a Cover model for GQ magazine (You are a Canadian banking in Canada), you need to send payment to me. I accept old fashioned paper cheques and newfangled email money transfers. You should have my email address and my mailing address in your acceptance letter.
  • If your country is governed by a real estate mogul (You are an American banking in America), you need to send payment to Elaine. She accepts just about everything. I believe Elaine has sent everyone instructions in response to my emails last night. After work today I will send her an email list of all of you in case she is missing anyone.
  • If you live in neither of the above countries, PM me and we can figure out how you can pay.

If you need either of our contact info, please PM us.

Also, if you have a hobby lobby nearby and the ability to mail me 6 packages of these, please ping me. I will reimburse costs. I haven't found them anyplace up here. I know we used to be able to get them.

Would these work? https://www.amazon.ca/Darice-2406-38BV-12-Piece-Design-2-5-Inch/dp/B001685KSM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486538413&sr=8-1&keywords=Design-a-Buttons

They're sold on Amazon.ca. Price-wise, they look quite similar as well.

You will need to bring the same basics as you would pack for your kid going to summer camp - bedding will be required. A packing list will be made available shortly.

Toilet paper will be supplied. I don't know if its Charmin' Ultra Soft 3-ply.

Based on the male:female ratio you've whined about, imma say that inferior toilet paper is going to be a huge issue for you. Personal, like.

Hmmm ok. I am one of those deprived kids who never went to summer camp (or knew anyone that went), so this is a new one for me. I shall await your packing list.

Closer to the time, we could talk about whether some of the folks from close by (i.e. commuting by car) could bring some extra bedding along, so that those commuting by far (i.e. coming by plane, and hoping to just use a carry-on) don't have to bring theirs.

You're on your own for the fancy-schmancy toilet paper though!

When I was RVing from Seattle to Anchorage last year, they were going to charge me $100US for bedding and $60US for kitchen stuff to hire for 3.5 weeks. I brought my sleeping bag liner with me, and at the first stop, went to the local op shop, and got a doona, 3 towels, saucepan, huge microwave dish with lid, frying pan, sharp knife, crockery, cutlery... for $6CAD. Then went to the $2 shop to get other stuff. Ended up paying less than $10 for everything that was in the kits. And the op shop owner apologized for charging me so much! Took it all to the op shop in Anchorage at the end of the trip.

If you are spendy, one of these (summer duty) will compress down to about the size of a bag of milk.

We have 2 of them.

For those considering travel options or looking at seat sales.

Camp Mustache Canada is October 20th - 22.

Gates to Camp open at 10:00 AM on Friday the 20th.
Official opening activities are at 12:00 noon.

We wrap up late in the afternoon on Sunday, however it is possible to extend your stay to include Sunday night/Monday morning.

Hi Prospector, you might have already addressed this, but I couldn't find it and this thread is yuge. Do we need to bring bedding/sleeping bags, or is everything provided?

You will need to bring the same basics as you would pack for your kid going to summer camp - bedding will be required. A packing list will be made available shortly.

Toilet paper will be supplied. I don't know if its Charmin' Ultra Soft 3-ply.

Great suggestion - I have a feeling pillows and sleeping bags are going to be HOT commodities!

Yup ... we got you covered, travellers!

Get it?  Covered?  By the blankets and sleeping bags?

I'm bad at this, aren't I?
