Headed out by bike with the GF & Pup for a pre meetup casual ride, but hit some rain, so will try again for an 8:30 ETA.

That was cool.  Good company and good conversation.  Five fine folks discussing topics related and unrelated to all things MMM.

Let's pursue the BBQ cookout / margarita machine idea as suggested.

Regina asked me to post this link to the Harry and David free shipping offer she mentioned: http://www.harryanddavid.com/h/gift-baskets-tower-boxes?NEAREST_STORE=537&ref=em1330I5Z1Csh&DM_PersistentCookieCreated=true&CIRC_KEY=30I5Z1C&cm_mmc=Email-M-_-130923_HD-Fall-Favorites-_-30I5Z1C-_-shop

Also, if you ever have the need for a hard copy book, AbeBooks is a good place to find used books of various condition at good prices from a large network of used book sellers: http://www.abebooks.com/?cm_mmc=ggl-_-US_AbeBooks_Brand-_-Top+Brand-_-abebooks&gclid=CPvJ_fTK4bkCFadj7AodhWYA_w

I would be fine with that.  Certainly simple and convenient.

What happened to the margarita machine idea?

Sure,

Meeting for coffee again has been mentioned.

What about you guys who wanted to do a cookout & margarita machine?  The weather is getting better for that.  I might be willing to host, or someone mentioned an apartment clubhouse I think.

Let's shoot for mid month to give us a little time to plan, but not put it off for too long.

If we do coffee again a weeknight would work just fine.  For that matter we could do a cookout/potluck on a weeknight as well.

My schedule is looking tighter than I thought.  Looks like Monday the 21st will work.

How about coffee or a pot luck / bbq on Monday the 21st?

I realized that my anniversary is on 22nd and probably be celebrating this weekend(19th, 20th). So I won't be able to do this weekend either :P Sorry. But if others are up for it then please everyone meet up!~
I think if we're gonna do potluck or cook out probably weekend is better? Just my opinion.

What does notify on this forum do? I didn't get notifications in my email at all for posts pertaining to the previous meeting. :/
If there's a date set, I'll make room for it.

I don't get e-mail notifications.   (must not be the default setting)  I would like to get e-mail notifications.  I will look for the notify settings.

When clicking the "Notify" button it says something about "new topics" which would be a ton of stuff.  Hopefully it only notifies you of new posts on topic you have posted on.  Will see.

So I have only gotten an e-mail notification for one new topic.  Not sure why only that one.  I have also not gotten any e-mails for new posts on threads I have posted on which is what I was hoping for.

I did not get an email notification of your most recent post, so I must have done something wrong.  I will try to figure it out.

So I see Houston has scheduled a MMM meetup

https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/meetups-and-social-events/houston-texas-sept-or-oct-2013-meetup-scheduling/

I know all you Austin peeps are simply enjoying live in Austin so much and thanking your lucky stars you live in Austin and not Houston...

But let's not let our fellow Texas to the east show us up.

Let's meet before the hectic holidays start.

I will also be volunteering at ths event:

Post-Flood Shoal Creek Trail Repair Workday

The Shoal Creek trail needs your help. Are you available on Friday, November 15 from 2 to 5 pm to help repair the Shoal Creek trail in the downtown area?

The trail suffered significant damage from the October 30th flood (see attached photos), and the City Parks Department has asked for our help with cleanup and repairs. We are seeking 20 volunteers to help shovel gravel and sand off the trail, remove debris, pick up trash, and paint over or remove graffiti. We will gather at 2 pm at Duncan Park (900 West 9th Street) and work on the trail from just south of Pease Park to the 5th street bridge until 5 pm. Metered parking is available along both 9th and 10th streets near the park. The City will supply all the tools, and we will supply the people power. Please wear heavy shoes, bring water and gloves if you have them.

Please RSVP by the noon on Thursday, November 14 at https://www.eventbrite.com/event/9166361835 so we know how many volunteers to expect. Please also share this with anyone else that might have a flexible weekday schedule.

Thank you in advance!

I am leading a trail building project at Pedernales Falls State Park

The next trail day for the week:

Tuesday 11/19 meet at the park entry office at 10:30

The weather looks great for tomorrow. High of 71F.

Our attack point will be along the CR 201 just east of yesterday's attack point (just east of the big puddle)

Get more details here: http://www.bikemojo.com/speak/14-austin-voodoo/96148-pedernales-falls-trailwork-4.html

How 'bout next Thursday 8:30 pm at Epoch Coffee?

That time/place worked well for the last gathering.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
