I'm curious if anyone on here is from Peterborough, ON or the surrounding area? My wife and I are in our late 20s and would love to get together with like-minded individuals.

I visit family there occasionally, but don’t live there. You might have some luck, but finding enough like-minded individuals for a meetup might mean heading a bit west.
