Anyone know if the Mexican restaurant is back open on Sundays again or when the non marathon weekends are?  Such as, maybe, someone who attends ASU?I'm in Williams, but I'll come down for a meetup.

What is the ask here?
Are we looking at a date time and place?

I was trying to get Geodude to check on the status of the restaurant.  Turns out we went there yesterday and it is now open on Sundays.  However, if anyone else wants to suggest a Meetup there or any place.else, have at it.  I'm out of the area but will come back to see everyone if the info is posted here.

I called them and asked about the 24th. They don't seem to know about any events that'd cause mill to be closed down (i.e. marathons, etc).
They're open 11-4pm on Sundays nowadays.

So I'm going ahead and calling a meetup on Sep 24th at noon.

Restaurant Mexico
423 S Mill Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281

This spot:

If anything weird happens we'll just move it across the street to some other random restaurant, as we did last time.

So if you get there and the door's closed just check back on the forum here.

There's a Phoenix FI Facebook group that was recently created. Not specifically mustachian but it's the closest thing you're going to get...

While we've got a lot of Phoenicians here: how well does the Sprint network work in Phoenix? I ask because Republic Wireless runs off Sprint and I wanted to know.

That's a good article. Gets my head buzzing with ideas. I may make a video guide some day...

I was thinking he told me noon, but we do usually meet at 2pm.  I'll ask him if he doesn't show up here soon.  Attendees list?  That is way too organized.  It took us a year to find a place to meet, and it ends up closed about half the time we try.

We're running behind on some other stuff this morning, not sure if we're going to make it. If we're not too late, what's the parking situation there?

We have been thinking about a meetup down in Mesa on the first or second weekend in November.
Wondering what would work best for people.
The place we are at has outdoor space with BBQs  or if the weather is crappy, there's indoor space as well.

Can we get a count of people, who are willing to head to Mesa?
Cross streets are Lindsay and Main

Once I know which days will work best, we can figure out, wether we'll do a coffee and snacks late morning thing or afternoon BBQ/Potluck type thing.
Open for either, just chime in!

Hello everyone!!
Glad to see so much interest!
Let's plan on November 4th then!

Location is Lindsay and Main in Mesa.

What does everyone thing about a late morning brunch type thing?

I will be back in Phoenix on the 1st and will reserve some shaded outdoor space for us.
In case it rains or gets too hot, I'll see if we can get something inside.

I could bring, coffee, tea and water. Plus a breakfast casserole, possbily something sweet as well.

We are full time RVers (this meetup will be at the clubhouse of the RV resort), so we only have limited silverware and plates ;)
It would be great, if everyone could just bring a plate and cup and maybe something small to share.

Unless you guys prefer BBQ, then I'll try and get that outdoor area that has the BBQs, possibly for later in the day then.

Let me know what you all think and I'll reserve the space accordingly.

My vote is, as usual, as little fuss as possible.  My contribution will most likely be a cheese tray from Fry's.  At least you are heading off the 'hmmm, there are no glasses or mugs in this community room' so geodude won't have to drink water by pouring it into his mouth from the jug like the last one I hosted.

My first choice for Sat 4th would be late morning brunch, but I am flexible.  I'll bring some type of fruit dish, plus I have some paper plates from a giant Costco buy so I'll bring extra of those.
Thanks!

Flexible on time as well.
I probably will get something like a hummus plate from Trader Joe or Fry's.

What is the name of the RV Park though?
I am not familiar with that areas..
Is it Coronado or Mesa Spirit or?

Thanks.

Come in off Main Street, across from the U-Haul place.  Your gps may take you to another entrance, but it is a locked gate unless you are a resident.

OK, everyone, I just reserved the space.
They have something going on inside, so we got outdoor space. But given the current weather that's nice and it's shaded.

The address is
3020 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85213
Make sure you come in from the Main ST entrance
If a guard is present, tell them you are meeting friends at the
BBQ area near the pool unit#1

He'll give you directions on where to park.
The BBQ area is right by the clubhouse, real easy to find.

Let's meet around 11 am

I'll have a sign on the table so you'll find us once in the area.

I'll bring Water and Coffee, but have decided against the casserole, as I am way behind on things.
I'll most likely bring some purchased baked goods (you can revoke my MMM licence for that ;) )

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
I'll cross post in the FB groups as well.

Hey guys, anyone up for a December Meetup?
If we wanted to do similar setup as last time, I really only have Dec 9 or 23 available at this time.
We alternatively could do a dinner thing at a more central location in a restaurant, but I prefer to avoid these in December because things are so crowded.
I am happy to host an evening thing too at the previous location if that's not too much of a drive for people.

Just let me know!
