We spend a lot of time hiking. In fact, the community we found in our hiking group during two winter's worth of scouting was a big part of our decision to move here full time. Aside from that, we are still in the bureaucracy-heavy part of the immigration process, so we are busy sorting out all that stuff.
Unlike those that are spending less by living in Portugal, we came from a very low-cost, rural situation and our expenses are higher here. So on the face of it, not the most Mustachian choice! But as far as life satisfaction goes, it's pretty darn good. At least the wine prices are super budget-friendly, for better or worse!
