Which fidelity employer 401(k) fund should I choose?
« on: March 18, 2020, 02:20:12 PM »
Hello, this is for old employer 401(k) at Fidelity. Thoughts on which fund should I should choose?

You could choose funds with expense ratios less than 0.10% that match your desired asset allocation.

Given those options I would make it some combination of FXIAX (S&P 500 index fund - 0.015% ER), FSMAX (Extended market index fund - 0.045% ER), FXNAX (Intermediate bond index fund - 0.025% ER), and FTIHX (International index fund 0.06%). See @MDM's link to explore how much of each.

If you have investments elsewhere you might consider just picking one of those for simplicity and rounding out your desired asset allocation with the other accounts.

Dang the expense ratios on your funds are much better than those offered in my Fidelity 401k!

I just changed my future allocations based on performance and expense ratios. Chose the funds that were down the least, increased the bond fund to 10% . For better expense ratios I was really tempted to just choose Vanguard 2065 target date fund, though.
