Where to ROTH
« on: July 28, 2015, 08:31:55 PM »
For many years now I have had a rIRA with fidelity (currently less than 10k).  I have not been contributing because I was prioritizing the 401k.  I would now like to start adding contributions to the rIRA.

Should i contribute to my current rIRA or should I start a new one at vanguard?

Flip a coin.  Then decide if you like how the coin landed, and go from there.

If you stay with Fidelity, see http://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Fidelity.

We have accounts at Vanguard, Fidelity, and Schwab, each for their own reasons.  We did put the IRAs at Vanguard.

If you stick with Fidelity, go with the Spartan funds--many other funds are high-fee. Pretty much anything at Vanguard is low-fee.
