Title: Vanguard releases admiral shares of Total World Stock Fund (VTWAX)
Post by: Jacobi on February 08, 2019, 07:13:34 PM
Vanguard finally released an admiral version of its Total World fund. The expense ratio is only 0.10%, down from 0.19 with the previous investor shares version. Does this sway anyone to go 100% this fund for their stock allocation rather than a mix of domestic/international stock funds?

So they created a fund version of VT? Not sure what's so exciting about that?

I think Vanguard has been converting Investor share classes into Admiral share classes, so you'll probably see this same sort of thing for other funds, also.  Many of the Investor share class funds are going away, replaced by Admiral shares.

I personally use their ETF shares, so I don't tend to notice the change.  The ETF shares typically have as low an expense ratio as the Admiral shares.  Also, Vanguard lets you buy hundreds of Vanguard and non-Vanguard ETFs for $0/trade.  So you could even buy another company's total world ETF.
