Vanguard Australia?
« on: April 11, 2014, 02:10:52 AM »
I've seen mention made of Vanguard as being a reputable organisation with low fees etc. Does the same hold true for the Australian "branch"? I'm just starting to do some preliminary research into the question but I thought I'd ask here as well.

Out of interest I contacted the US one but they won't allow me to invest.

It looks like it. Here are the fees for their Australian ETFs: https://www.vanguardinvestments.com.au/retail/ret/investments/etfs.jsp#etfstab . VTS, the Australian equivalent to VTSAX, has management fees of 0.05%!

Some super funds have Vanguard as one of their options. It tends to be a very low fee option.
