Title: Unusual but Reasonable Portfolio
Post by: Much Fishing to Do on April 26, 2016, 10:57:34 AM
Anyone with a significant amount of savings (maybe half-way to FI or more) have a portfolio that goes outside the norm, but you decided on it for some reason?  E.g..... seems unusual but understandable why one would go almost 100% Small Cap Value because of its historical returns and very long retirement horizon, etc.

I assume we've all migrated to the similar types of investing b/c it works (7-30 stocks for those who like picking, standard range stock/bond diversifying with mutual Funds/etfs for those who don't, rentals for those into that...)...but also just wonder what is actually being done outside of these norms that could open eyes to new roads.
