Note that in my table Cost refers to the cost basis of the holding, and Market refers to the current market value of the holding.
I intend to put up a performance comparison at the end of each quarter. Maybe I'll do it each week along with the basic holdings table. My current plan is to compare my portfolio to the Russell Global Index (with dividends) from the start date of my portfolio.
My transactions assume no commissions or other cost. I'm using Google Finance portfolio tool to keep track.
I manage this portfolio with an aim towards absolute returns, not just equity market outperformance. At times, I may hold much of the portfolio in cash (basically US treasuries). I have some decent ideas for stock buys, so I should be adding equities to my portfolio over the next few months.
