flashed the golden cross

It's been a while since I heard a new naughty phrase, but I'm pretty sure this must be one. I'm now trying to imagine what it means.

Quote
meaning the Bear Market is over......

I'm not the smartest person in the world, clearly, but I'm seeing global pandemic-induced economic contraction combined with happy stock markets, and I can only conclude that at least one of the rest of the world and I is/are/am hopelessly insane.

I guess the most secure conclusion I can take away from all this is that it's better to have money and/or assets in times of crises than to not.

According to Bloomberg the S&P 500 flashed the golden cross, meaning the Bear Market is over......

You can just throw your golden cross into the GOAT MOAT.  The Bear Market will never be over.  TOP IS IN!!!!

Maybe I should just do it and hopefully not lose 5% (like I did last time I did a rollover >.>).

Yes, but those don't have graphs, so they're complete nonsense. Technical analysis has graphs so there is definitely something to it.  Just as an example, I know what the market's going to do over the next 4 months:

People...the top is not in....

I’ve spent 72 hours in a deep meditation after some wild mushrooms to ask the spirits when the top will REALLY be in.

The top will be in on the 26 September 2020....the spirits say it’s so...

So it looks like the SP500 closed today higher than it closed on the last day of 2019, but lower than it closed on the first day of 2020. Can we say that it is positive for the year?

This us a super-important question for many reasons that should be very obvious.

Excellent advise. I caught a few sockeye salmon before work this morning. Fighting with a fish in drizzling rain and covered in glacial mud is definitely for ones perspective.

Do you do the salmon fishing where you wade into the giant river with a big net? That seems like pretty top-level fishing. I’ve never done anything fancier than pulling up catfish from a muddy stream.

It was a small stream just inside the tidal area, but yes. The bigger river trip is later this week. I tried the giant river where I normally catch my salmon in June, but the water was high and the run was unusually small. I do not wade into that river... Most people who fall in don't make it back out. But I have experienced the pinnacle of the fishing top there, catching a years supply of Salmon an hour is awesome.

Had to look up the difference between Lox and smoked salmon...
https://www.foodrepublic.com/2013/01/21/whats-the-difference-between-smoked-salmon-and-lox/

Turns out my father prefers Lox... Which sounds very fancy for on of the most frugal reuse everything people I know. A lot of people don't keep the bellies, just the two fillets so he started asking for them so he could smoke them. Free Lox! He mostly eats it with rye bread though instead of a bagel.

Liquid oxygen and rocket propellant seem a bit extreme for smoking salmon, but I guess you use what you have on hand.  How does the flavor compare to hickory or mesquite?

Yep, the title of video is dangerously misleading.   as you said LIGHT the grill before getting liquid oxygen anywhere near it, even if you are living dangerously (otherwise you might not be living at all).

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
