Title: The performance of 100% VTSMX vs 90% VTSMX, 10% bonds
Post by: RusticBohemian on February 24, 2020, 02:55:29 PM
I'm in the accumulation phase and far away from retirement. Right now I have 100% of my stock investments in VTSMX.

I recall reading somewhere that a study may have found an advantage with 90% VTSMX, 10% bonds.

Is this so? If so, can anyone give me any details?

You give up a little returns for less volatility and the ability to rebalance.
