FSKAX vs FXAIX
« on: January 31, 2022, 10:00:28 AM »
Hey,

One of my retirement accounts requires me to use fidelity.  I have all my $ in ‘FID TOTAL MKT IDX (FSKAX)’ but am wondering if I should move to ‘FID 500 INDEX (FXAIX)’.

They both have the expense ratio of 0.03 but the SP500 index has outperformed the total market index at 1, 3, 5 and 10 years.

Any thoughts?

I'm in both FSKAX and FSGGX because that provides more diversification than FXAIX. I, personally, value diversification more than recent returns.

This is my philosophy as well.  It's also why I continue to have a good sized international percentage, even though the US has out performed recently.

Yeah that is my philosophy as well. Simply wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

Thanks for the reassurance.
