My HSA is through HSA Bank and investing is done through TD Ameritrade. Buying VTSAX through TD Ameritrade costs $20 per transaction so I'm curious if there is something similar to VTSAX that you'd recommend that wouldn't cost anything to purchase? Thanks!

SPTM would be their commission free etf equivalent to VTI.

VTI :)
It's VTSAX as an ETF.
ETF and stock commissions are $0 now.

Here's a list of ETFs that have "always" traded commission free at TD Ameritrade listed by their Vanguard equivalent: https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/TD_Ameritrade but as @Hargrove points out (I haven't checked, but lots of brokerages are going that way, so not surprising, so I have no reason to doubt) you can probably just use Vanguard ETFs commission free too.

Schwab bought TD Ameritrade last year, which has probably influenced TD Ameritrade's pricing:

They now charge $0/ETF or stock, buying or selling. So there's lots of choices for total U.S. stock market ETFs.
If you prefer Vanguard, there's "VTI". I also like iShares, ITOT. Both of those charge 0.03% and hold ~3500 stocks.
Have you considered getting international exposure to equities? Maybe VXUS or IXUS?
You could keep 80% US, but have 20% be international. In prior decades, US and international took turns beating each other, so consider international for diversification.
